Jacobsen’s Ox-chair was produced in the 1960’s over a very short period of time and is therefore a fairly rare item. Unlike most of his creation, this chair was not designed for a specific architectural project. Contrasting with the designer’s earlier pieces that are characterised by curved and organic forms, this chair displays a sharper and more angular outline. The high back of the chair, similar to the one of the Egg chair designed for the SAS Hotel in Copenhagen, and the upholstered arms create a comfortable and impressive cocoon for the seater.

The Ox was Wegner's favorite chair and occupied a space in his livingroom until he died.
