One of the most representative pieces created by Jorge Zalszupin production, the Dinamarquesa armchair was produced in 1959 and manufactured by L’Atelier. It did not respond to a specific commission and was spontaneously conceived by the designer who considered it his favorite piece of furniture. The Dinamarquesa takes cues from mid•century Danish design, fittingly, its name means Danish girl in Portuguese.

Zalszupin experimented with shapes, exploring the limits and the strength provided by caviuna wood and proving as well the qualities of his artisanal carpentry work. The arms, legs and croosbeams vary in thickness and width along their length, giving an elegant and delicate figure to the whole structure.
