Designed in 1959, the Brasiliana sofa is a luxurious creation by Jorge Zalszupin. The generous softness of its voluminous cushions contrasts beautifully with the minimalist geometry of its wooden frame. Zalszupin’s exceptional attention to detail is evident in the gently curved corners of the structure, the refined brass joinery, and the original rosewood buttons.
Named in homage to Brasília, the newly established Brazilian capital, the sofa’s sinuous wooden frame echoes the signature curves of Oscar Niemeyer’s architecture for the city.
