Emblematic design by Hans J. Wegner, the “Round Chair”, today simply known as “The Chair”, was considered “the most beautiful chair in the world” by the American magazine Interior in 1950. Created in 1948, the chair quickly became a symbol of Danish design. The result of a masterful craftsmanship, the chair presents a back and armrest made of one continuous wooden semicircle. The modesty of the design, the use of natural materials, the graceful lines and the function-driven form made this chair one of the most elegant and comfortable seats of last century.

This set of chairs comes from the original collaboration between Wegner and furniture maker Johannes Hansen.
