Designed in 1965 by Jens Quistgaard in collaboration with Richard Nissen, the Safari Chair is one of the icons of Danish modern design. Inspired by a simple camp bed Quistgaard created for his island retreat, the chair is assembled without screws or glue, relying instead on an ingenious combination of wood, leather, and steel. Lightweight, durable, and easy to disassemble, it perfectly reflects the Scandinavian ideal of functional simplicity.

Celebrated for both its comfort and originality, it is now regarded as a masterpiece of 1960s design and is represented in major museum collections around the world.
