Jesse Visser – ‘Free works’
Dutch designer Jesse Visser was born in IJsselstein in the Netherlands in 1974. He studied at the Utrecht School of Product Design between 1994 and 1999 and went on to found his studio, Jesse Visser Designprojects, in 2000.
Visser works predominantly in furniture and lighting design; he creates striking statement pieces that synthesize bold, graphic, sometimes even conceptual forms with a matter-of-fact functionality. His creative research of construction, techniques, and the use of innovative materials result in high end, clever designs.
Gokelaere & Robinson will present iconic works by Jesse Visser as well as new creations such as his latest light object ‘Sunset/Sunrise’.
During his career, Jesse Visser has been rewarded with several international awards and recognitions for his work as well as taking part in numerous exhibitions, among others Milan, New York, Cologne, London, Frankfurt, Tallin, and in The Netherlands.
