The Kanguru chair is the rarest chair by Jorge Zalszupin. Its exceptional design displays characteristic elements of Zalszupin’s work such as the combination of geometric and organic shapes in curved woods, well-defined proportions, graceful lines and classical detailing.
Singularity and lightness define the Kanguru chair: singularity given by the association of Brazilian rosewood for the seat structure with the delicate line of the metal legs; lightness created by the ingenious reduction of support that defies our understanding of weight distribution. The explicit structure of the chair, with all its apparent resources, forms a coherent construction that can easily be adapted to both domestic and corporate environments.
