Italian born industrial designer Carlo Hauner immigrated to Brazil in the late 1940’s. His design was deeply influenced by European modernism and the contemporary context of industrialization. The metal structure of the bookshelves display Hauner’s industrial proclivities while the use of local material such as wood and cane maintains an exotic feeling to the whole creation.
